We use your information primarily to operate and improve the Platform:

To provide, maintain, and secure your account and the Affiche service.
To publicly display your portfolio and facilitate professional presentation (curation, organization, and analytics).
To process subscription payments and manage your "Pro" tier status.

4. Third-Party Services & Data Sharing

Affiche relies on carefully selected third-party infrastructure. We do not sell your data to advertisers. We only share data with the following categories of service providers to the extent necessary for them to perform their functions:

Authentication & Identity Providers: To securely manage your account creation, logins, and email credentials.
Cloud Hosting & Storage: To securely store our database, your profile data, and your uploaded artwork.
Payment Processors: To act as our Merchant of Record and securely process subscription transactions. We do not store your credit card details on our servers.
Analytics Providers: To collect anonymized usage data (such as page views and feature interaction) to help us understand how the platform is used and improve the user experience.
Artificial Intelligence APIs: When you manually choose to use optional features like the "Auto-Detect Film" button, the specific image is securely processed by an external enterprise AI model (e.g., Google Gemini) to extract metadata. This processing is stateless—neither Affiche nor our enterprise AI providers store or use this data to train AI models.
Metadata APIs: To search and retrieve film details (e.g., from Wikidata) when linking your posters to specific movies.

5. Cookies & Tracking Technologies

We use strictly necessary cookies to keep you logged into the platform (managed by Clerk). We do not currently use invasive third-party tracking or advertising cookies.

6. Data Retention

We retain your personal information only for as long as necessary to provide our services and fulfill the purposes outlined in this policy. Upon account deletion, your personal data and uploaded artwork will be removed from our active systems immediately. Inactive accounts may be reviewed and removed after 24 months of inactivity.
